Partnership Brokering
PMulti-stakeholder collaboration is increasingly being recognized as essential to the creation of a fairer and more inclusive world. However, despite the need and urgency, collaboration can be highly challenging for organizations and often falls short of expectations. Evidence points to the crucial role played by partnership brokers as change agents in addressing the difficulties faced by partnerships.
Partnership brokers are the intermediaries who create or manage partnerships imaginatively and successfully. They identify and capitalize on collaborative opportunities, work highly principle based, balance different interests and push for understanding within and outside partner organisations. They can be individuals or organisations that support multi-stakeholder partnerships at local, national or international levels enabling them to better achieve their sustainable development goals.
